- We abide by the constitution Rules and Regulations of the Australian National Kennel Council (ANKC), the Royal NSW Canine Council (Dogs NSW) & the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club Inc. Code of Practice relating to responsible dog ownership, including the keeping, welfare, breeding and selling of dogs.
- All breeding stock owned or used by Lionslea will be AVA approved hip and elbow scored. Those 'owned' by Lionslea are also evaluated under the US PennHip scheme.
- All our dogs are available for viewing – visitors are most welcome by arrangement.
- All information pertaining to the records, health and breeding of our dogs will be readily available to those with ‘genuine’ intentions on a need to know basis.
- All Lionslea puppies will be raised in a loving environment with plenty of human interaction and socialisation. They will be kept under clean, sanitary conditions and will be fed the same high quality diet as our own dogs based on the BARF feeding regime.
- Puppies will be vet checked, regularly wormed, vaccinated, micro chipped and registered with the ACT Canine Association Inc. and will be available to go to their new homes at our discretion after eight weeks of age (after 11 weeks for exports or those required to be transported by air).
- Placing puppies in responsible, loving homes is our greatest priority. Although we acknowledge that keeping a dog/or different breed for the first time is a learning experience we will require that any potential owners have at least sufficiently researched the Rhodesian Ridgeback and have 'some' knowledge of the breed. Potential owners must be prepared to properly house, feed and instruct their Ridgeback puppy, giving them the love and care they deserve.
- Only show potential puppies going to show homes will receive BLUE (Full) registration papers unless by arrangement of contract. Otherwise all puppies going to pet homes regardless of conformation will receive ORANGE (Limited) registration papers.
- Lionslea will not sell to pet shops or through puppy brokers.
- Puppies on the Limited Register will also come with a contract for a $100 refund on proof of de-sexing. ***Male puppies on the Limited Register may be de-sexed prior to going to their new homes.
- Puppy pack will include:
- A disc with photos and information about the Sire and Dam
- Weekly progress puppy photos
- Registration Papers, Health Records & comprehensive care for your RR
- One months supply of Heartguard Plus for Puppies & two mths supply of Frontline flea & tick treatment
- BARF Diet book, food samples & home made treats
- Puppy towel, soft blanket and chew toys.
- Should any owner find themselves in any way unable to continue appropriate care for their Lionslea Ridgeback or have any concerns whatsoever with regards to their health or wellbeing they are urged to contact us immediately. We take our responsibility seriously and offer full breeder support for the life of your Lionslea puppy.
